Big Changes

Hey, hey. So, there’s been a lot going on.

For one, if you’re reading this, then you probably notice that the site looks different. I redid and improved, well a lot. Take a look around and let me know what you think.

Another change is I now have a newsletter, or I will when I send my first one out next month. You can sign-up for it here. https://arireavis.eo.page/vr26n In the newsletter, I’ll be sharing book news and book deals (for my books and others because, who doesn’t love a free/discounted book?). Plus when you sign up, you receive a free copy of Be My Light.

I am now on Radish. It’s a serialized reading app that I am loving. So far, Be My Light, Just Fake It, Never Leave Your Side, It Was Always You, and Afraid To Fall are on it. Imperfect, All The Pieces Of You, and Girl Meets Boys will release on there on August 1st. You can find the links to reach the books here: https://arireavis.com/radish-links/ Downloading the app is quick and easy, and I think once you start using it, you won’t be able to stop.

And the other changes have been behind the curtains, but you’ll see them coming into play more and more. (Hence signing up for the newsletter).

In other news, the second book in the Unwavering Love Series is with the editor and I’m hoping to release it in October. In the meantime, you can read book one, Imperfect, now while you wait for book two. https://books2read.com/imperfectarireavis

Well, that’s all for now. Again, take a look around. There’s some new pages, easier navigation, and really I’m just proud if it.

Bye,

Goodbye 2019

I stayed up into 2020, working on my current book, not even knowing it was midnight until I heard the fireworks going off outside my window. But here we are, a new decade. And I’m so excited to see what this year, and decade, brings.

But as for 2019, well:

I published three books.

Wrote eight books, 560,422 words, give or take. (Definitely more give lol)

Got much better at making edits.

Designed all the covers for my books in the foreseeable future.

And when I consider the fact that I somehow got all this done with a husband and five kids and everything else going on in my life, I definitely pat myself on the back. Because some months I wrote less words than others and I’d start to feel like I’m wasn’t doing enough, wasn’t working hard enough. I felt bad when I took a day off, when I read books and told myself if I have time for that, then I had time to work on my own. Gonna try and do better with that this year. Letting myself feel okay about taking the time away from writing when I need to. But in other ways, writing is my therapy. Writing is what makes my day, makes me happy and relaxed, so it’s a slippery, weird slope.

Anywho, in 2020 I plan to release 4 books, 3 contemporary romances and a fantasy romance, if all goes according to plan. Still working on book #15, about half way through, and just got done editing book #6 last night.

And bonus for last night, to leave 2019 on a super high note, Be My Light made it onto a reader I absolutely love’s fav reads list. So seeing that really just made my night, and really I’m still flying high off that today.

Hope everyone has a wonderful year and goes for what makes them happy.

Write soon. Bye.

Ari.

Words are flowing!

Book #14 is underway. I’m about 30k in, hoping to hit 50k by the end of the month. I just sent book #5 to the editor this morning and think I finally found a cover I like for it. I’ve been stressing over this cover for weeks, so hopefully that’s the end of that.

I reread my fantasy book, in preparation of sending that to the editor once we’re done with book #5 and I’m still so, so in love with it. I already have the second book in that series plotted out and have started plotting the third.

And of course, because my brain seems to work best on overload, I’ve already started taking notes on my phone for another fantasy book.

More on book #5. It has s suspense element to it since the heroine is fleeing her abusive ex. And let’s just say, he’s promised to never let her go. And he’s sick enough to try keeping that promise. I’m looking to have it published February 1st but that depends on a few things.

In the meantime, Never Leave Your Side is available to buy or read with Kindle Unlimited. And the paperback is now live as well.

Book #13 In Progress

So I did take my much needed break until the second week of September. But now I’m back to writing everyday. Well no, I’m supposed to be taking weekends off, but uh, that didn’t quite work out today. I wrote this morning and now I’m plotting while watching a Hunger Games marathon.

Anywho, book #13 is an accidental pregnancy book. So far, I have 23k down for it. Trying to reach 40k by the end of the month. Somehow I am this far into the book and still haven’t figured out the hero and heroine’s names, let alone the side characters. Everytime I need to write their names, I’ve just been putting this ‘_____’. Horrible, I know.

Book #4 is with the editor right now and I’m hoping to publish it on November 15th. I’ll be revealing the cover soon, on here first, then on my social media accounts.

Speaking of which, on October 15th, I’ll be doing a giveaway of a signed copy of Be My Light and a small book themed bag for the book’s one year anniversary. So go follow me on instagram and be on the look-out for that.

And while book #4 is with the editor and there are those moments when I can’t write or plot but have my laptop out, I’m editing my fantasy book. I’ve really been focusing on the character descriptions during my editing, making sure they sound how I picture them in my head. As for the heroine’s outfits, I got a lot of inspiration from Pinterest, if you wanna go over there and get a sneak peek at some of the gowns the heroine wears.

A break…Maybe

Book #12 is finished. It ended up being a heck of a lot longer than I thought it would. It seemed like every time I thought I was almost done, another idea would pop into my head. There’s a lot in this book that if someone looked at my google history, would look very suspicious. It’s also the last book in a series I’ve written about people from the same town. No more characters are calling to me from it, so I think this will be the last. Now to find a cover and some pictures for edits for it.

Speaking of… Edits. I wish I knew more about them for my first three books. I have so much fun looking for pictures to use for them now. Pictures I wouldn’t use for a cover, but go along so well with the book.

I’m taking a break until the kids go back to school because man, do they make writing extra hard. So that’s about a week and a half to finish plotting other books, get book #4 to the editor, and work on that book’s cover a little more. The picture I chose for it is so, so nice. Or, at least I think so.

Looking forward to getting back to work though because the days feel weird without sitting with my laptop for a few hours.

Be My Light, All The Pieces Of Me, and Just Fake It are available for purchase now, or read them for free with Kindle Unlimited.

Fantasy In The Works

Okay, so book 3 is in it’s third round of edits and I’m looking at publishing it in mid-July. I’ve got the cover and title (finally) figured out. It’s a fake marriage romance and I am loving it more and more everytime I re-read it.

I’m plotting out book 11, which will be based off a character from book 10. Nervous to be writing a series, as that’s a lot of timelines and stories to match up. But very, very excited. The character just kept talking to me, so I figured I should listen, right? Plus the guy in book 10 is from book 7, so AHHH! Now to figure out a series name.

But the biggest news, for me anyway, is that I’m working on a fantasy book. I’m already 75k done with it and have another 7 or 8 (long) chapters to go. I have fallen in love with this book. Building my own world, figuring out the names, and kingdoms, what makes them different and alike. It’s all been very fun. I have been looking for the cover ever since I wrote what the main characters will look like, but haven’t been all that successful in finding anything pre-made. So if anyone knows some great illustrators, let me know.

That’s all for now. I’ll post when book 3 is available for pre-order. And I’ll even tell you guys the title now. *whispers* Just Fake It *shh*

Another Book Down

Book #8 is finished!!!!! If anyone had ever told me I’d enjoyed writing a love triangle so much, I would’ve thought they were lying, but… I loved it. Being able to write two guys and show the differences between them, the differences in the way the heroine felt for them and how they treated her. And of course, who she chose in the end.

In other news, All The Pieces of You have been out for a week and doing really well. I’m getting ready to send book #3 (fake marriage romance) over to the editor in the hopes of publishing that one in June. If only I could choose a title for it. I’m stuck between three that I like.

I’m almost done with book #9. I was working on 8 and 9 at the same time, so I think I have about two chapters left for that one. That one is an enemies to lover romance.

It’s Almost Here

All The Pieces Of You is now available for pre-order. Releasing on March 25, 2019.

And you can add it on Goodreads here:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/43684037-all-the-pieces-of-you

Blurb:

Life is about all the pieces coming together…if they fit.
Cassidy knows the ugly side of love all too well, and isn’t interested in allowing it into her own life. So, why does the man at the gym make her question that?
Lucas is too busy raising his young daughter to look for love, but life has already shown him just how quickly things can change. Maybe that’s why the woman doing sit-ups has him doing a doubletake.
When the pieces of two people fit, falling in love should be easy. Except there’s always something in the way of happily ever after.
And just because two people fit, doesn’t always mean they match.

This is a standalone romance.

The Year’s All Planned Out

Hello in 2019.

First and foremost… Book 2 in up for pre-order, but lucky you (whoever reads this) because you’re the only ones I’m telling for now. I put it up extra early, for reasons I won’t go into, so it’s available for pre-order now and releasing March 25. I’m super, super excited to say the least. I had to look for the cover for so long (and you would not believe how hard it is to find a cover with an interracial couple) and finally found one I liked. The title is All The Pieces Of You and here’s the blurb:

Life is about all the pieces coming together…if they fit.
Cassidy knows the ugly side of love all too well, and isn’t interested in allowing it into her own life. So, why does the man at the gym make her question that?
Lucas is too busy raising his young daughter to look for love, but life has already shown him just how quickly things can change. Maybe that’s why the woman doing sit-ups has him doing a doubletake.

I’ll put the link at the bottom if you want to go over to Amazon and have a look (and see the cover before anyone else).

In other news, I’m working on book #7 right now, about 25k words in and loving it. I’ve plotted out a love triangle book and am working on the plot for a hater to lover book after that.

Like the title of this post says, I’ve got the year all planned out, or at least the way I hope it goes. That means me publishing four of my books, each one three months apart and writing three more, but since I’m already ahead with the writing, hopefully I’ll get more done than that.
